Mishaltit Arab Fast Food at 2nd floor DeCentrum Mall

Mishaltit is a Middle Eastern fast food restaurant located at the 2nd level of DeCentrum Mall.

This place has been opened for few years now but I didn't ventured in as I wasn't too attracted to the bright orange colors of the place. Apparently this is not the 1st branch of Mishaltit, there are already 4 branches of Mishaltit already (South City Serdang, East Late Residence, Sri Petaling and Taman Melati)

Was a bit hungry and decided to pop in. The food served is all western style fast food, think beef, chicken burgers with french fries, pizzas, Calzone, Sandwiches etc.

I ordered their burger called  "Burger with egg" and a cup of watermelon juice. Total bill came out was RM21, little bit pricey but ok if the quality was good.

Food arrived and the portions were big. The presentation was good with a carving knife sticking into the burger and layed on a pizza board. The buns are way bigger than the normal buns you see at McDonalds. The sizes are Carl's Jr size. The beef patties are hand pressed from ground beef, one of the items I look for in a good burger. The watermelon juice that came out was actually a jug, quite big. I didn't expect such sizing as the pictures in the food menu were quite small. This is a contrast to western menu were the pictures in the menu looked big but when it comes out it is not as big as expected.

Overall the burger was ok, wasn't world class and most of the ingredients were pretty normal, egg, pickles, lettuce, onions and beef patties. I'm not a good food critic writer but based on Google Maps review, there's more positive comments on Mishaltit than bad, so I guess it's not too bad. Service wise the service waiter was quite friendly and helpful.

Personally from a business point of view, I feel there's too many options in the menu, with lack chef recommendation so it can be quite overwhelming for 1st comers like me.

The place seem to do delivery also but is within the IUKL area and to DeCentrum SOHO and Residences.

Ramadan Bazaar at Precinct 3

In this month of Ramadan, I decided to take a trip to nearby Putrajaya to check out their Ramadhan Bazaar at Precinct 3.

While at Cyberjaya there is a Ramadan bazaar, near the Shell petrol station but the size of it is quite small. I also heard previously the bazaar at Precinct 3 bazaar is at a much bigger scale.

To be frank , when I arrived at the Precinct bazaar, it wasn't as big as I imagined, around probably around half a football field.

The bigger queues were at the Botak Mango drink stall and Keramat murtabak.

I bought grilled lamb RM18 per box and ayam golek (rotisserie chicken) RM20.

Keramat Murtabak - a popular among the crowd for it jumbo sized murtabak
Mango stall also very popular

Interestingly, although it is a once a year affair, the location of the bazaar can be located on Waze and Google Maps.

There's a promotion going on for mineral water (brand is Furqan). RM1 for a 1.5 litre bottle, make sure the cap is blue which means the water inside is from a treated source, else it's just treated water.

RM1 for 1 1.5 litre mineral bottle

Park Inn by Radisson at DeCentrum city progress - 20190401

As previously blogged, one of the hostel blocks at IUKL is being demolished to make way for a 3 star hotel called Park Inn by Radisson.

Project still at demolition stage, work seems to be going on even at night but number of workers involved probably not enough and hence the slow pace of development
